As a native Californian, Marina Del Rey drew her to boating and sailing as a young adult. Leo Robbins, Fairwind Yacht Club, CIWSA and Channel Island Yacht Club membership have provided more time and experience on the water, building her confidence as a skipper.
She has had various roles volunteering with CIWSA, FYC, CIYC and the Boys and Girls Club.
She looks forward to assuming the role as Vice Commodore, focusing on member and community participation and the endless lessons sailing provides. She will be primarily working on shoreside activities, eg, finding speakers, videos, and field trips.
